Leading the Beauty team at Burberry, the Director of Creative Media will be accountable for the 360 c reative vision for Beauty; from Campaign Content, Digital Activations, Beauty Packaging and Beauty Instagram through to the connecting with and bringing consistency to the 3D world of merchandising, events and pop ups.

You will be responsible for leading the team through the concepting, development and execution of all Beauty touchpoints across a wide variety of Fragrance and Make-up projects; from Global multi-million pound Fragrance productions through to smaller, tactical, regional animations for key gifting moments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be the driving force behind Burberry Beauty - leading with passion and taste to bring the creative to life in a compelling, innovative way
  • Oversee multiple projects across a plethora of workstreams, ensuring consistency and alignment across touchpoints
  • Excellent managerial skills with a proven background of leading a multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong ability to provide clear creative direction to the team whilst also being hands on, providing timely and helpful feedback to improve creative processes
  • Think strategically about design and make meaningful contributions to all aspects of global business development and brand partnerships
  • Create and deliver key presentations to the highest standard, with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to present creative at all levels e.g. to peers, the Senior Leadership Team and to our external partners at COTY
  • Complete understanding of COTY commercial needs and how we balance that against ensuring what we deliver also feels on brand and aligned with the new direction
  • Excellent ability to prioritise work and resources based on short and long-term need
  • Timelines, budgets, and the scope of projects change so we need someone who can roll with it in a fast-paced environment
  • Work in partnership with the wider Burberry and COTY, marketing and commercial teams to ensure a holistic, 360 overview of the beauty category and feeding insights and updates into the wider creative team
  • Collaborating and QA with external suppliers, partners and agencies to ensure consistency and high-quality levels
  • Strong partnership with the Beauty project Management and licensing teams, to ensure we deliver against the longer-term strategic goals for Beauty

  • Inspire, mentor and challenge the creative team proving support and leadership
  • Whilst striving for creativity and innovation, balancing the business needs from responding accordingly to marketing strategy and plans
  • Delivering and ensuring projects adhere to budgets and timings
  • Building strong relationships with senior team and Fragrance leads at COTY


QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • This is a leadership position in every sense of the phrase; we need someone who can represent our culture and standards to all levels and disciplines - both company wide and when managing the client relationship with COTY
  • A proven ability to oversee fresh, modern, big ideas (In a Luxury Fashion environment) across a variety of touchpoints e.g. POS, Events, Content, Digital and Packaging
  • An excellent photographic aesthetic with a discerning eye for detail and immaculate taste
  • Experience in a creative leadership role, with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability
  • to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • An innate collaborator that is calm and controlled under pressure
  • Excellent research and connecting skills. Awareness of current creative trends and innovations
  • Confident and energetic with a pro-active positive can-do attitude and the ability to excel under pressure
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Over 10 years experience
