The Global Marketing team is on a mission to make merchants successful in more places. Our designers are an integral part of evolving and defining how we represent Shopify to the world. Working directly with a diverse team of UX Marketing specialists to grow the number of customers using Shopify and the reach of Shopify the brand.

The ideal candidate is an experienced designer who is comfortable working in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, and who shares our belief that marketing design is as much about behavior and emotion as it is about acquisition and engagement. You can take complex ideas and help a team translate them into effective creative, and you also understand how metrics and testing can deeply inform creative directions.

Responsibilities
  • Evolve the user experience of Shopify marketing properties
  • Champion and evolve Shopify's brand standards and guidelines
  • Work cross-functionally with global and regional design teams on go to market campaigns
  • Strong communication of strategy and ability to incorporate performance metrics to test and optimize design


Qualifications

  • A passion for solving design problems while wearing multiple hats and championing all facets of Marketing UX (content strategy, design, art direction, and interaction design)
  • Proficiency with design & prototyping tools (Figma, etc), as well as some knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • A scrappy, resourceful approach to projects - you're proactive and great at self-assigning tasks.
  • You have a soft spot for the end-user - advocating for them in all areas of your work is core to what you do. This user empathy helps you prioritize experience, trust-building, and long-term success over short-term gains.
  • An interest in building scalable design systems that can respond to the needs of a global audience
  • An understanding that great experiences come from collaborative decision-making with front-end developers, engineers, researchers, content strategists, and other disciplines
  • Background in marketing design and ability to test, measure, and optimize digital ad performance
  • Trend aware and able to adapt to audience & platform requirements
  • Background in motion graphics / can confidently work with motion
  • Huge Plus if you have B2B Marketing experience
