PR Director/Senior Director - Lifestyle

PR Consulting is a brand strategy and public relations agency that specializes in developing and communicating authentic narratives to position companies and individuals across multi-platform channels.

We are currently seeking ambitious and talented candidates for a Lifestyle PR Director/Sr. Director role to join a team leading strategic communications for best in class design, hospitality, hotel, and culinary clients. 

The ideal candidate must possess a drive to generate and successfully implement strategic and creative ideas while being efficient, effective and professional. This individual must have a positive attitude, a desire to exceed expectations, and an understanding of the cultural landscape.

Candidate will be part of PR Consulting’s Lifestyle Division in New York and report directly to the Vice President of Lifestyle. 

·       Minimum 7-8 years experience with relevant brands in the architecture, art, design, culinary, luxury and lifestyle industries for both traditional and digital media 

·       Ability ideate and execute an innovative and comprehensive brand building strategies that are unique to each clients goals

·       Exceptional relationships with art, architecture, design, travel, hospitality, lifestyle, culinary and business media – both domestic and international

·       Extensive understanding of design and hospitality trends, as well as the luxury lifestyle landscape

·       Proven track record in securing top tier coverage in print, online, broadcast and new media outlets

·       Strong grasp on the digital landscape

·       Advanced writing skills and ability to craft messaging, press releases and all interview prep materials 

·       Confident management style with ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships with clients, media, and colleagues

·       Ability to offer the client thoughtful recommendations on communications & marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness: social media, content, collaborations, partnerships, events

·       Lead client communication as the primary contact with the ability to present strategies and feedback on client inquiries

·       Capacity to troubleshoot and build creative solutions

·       Experience building relationships and engaging with influencers and KOLs 

·       Strong writing communication, leadership and presentation skills

·       Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff

·       Strong work ethic, sense of team and willingness to collaborate

·       Must be a creative thinker and problem-solver

·       Reliable, detail oriented, and able to confidently multi-task and manage others to perform duties in a high pressure, fast paced, and deadline driven environment

·       Able to manage a range of personalities and crisis situations with calm professionalism
