JOB PURPOSE

As the Early Careers Manager, you will be the recognisable ambassador for the brand. Building on Burberry's reputation as an employer of choice for the international graduate community.

You will source the brightest and best creative talents.

RESPONSIBILITIES

GRADUATES
  • Managing Burberry's existing early careers initiatives and building on these, elevating and innovating to be recognised as a market leader in supporting young creatives.
  • Continue to grow our graduate and intern programs in order to deliver a pipeline of diverse creative talent in line with our D&I strategy.
  • Maintain existing and build new strong and meaningful relationships with universities, creative colleges and fashion institutions globally (i.e. British Fashion Council, London Graduate Fashion Week) to drive our reputation beyond the obvious.
  • Be an active participant in careers events at colleges and universities.
  • Support colleges and universities in setting real life projects for students to engage and excite future talents.
  • Follow graduate calendar to ensure we manage cohorts in the most effective and efficient manner.
  • Work closely with line managers to support the day to day management of graduates.
  • Support creative teams with ad-hoc internship needs by leveraging relationship with tutors and course leaders.


SCHOLARSHIPS
  • Manage Burberry's existing scholarship programme and build on these; elevating and innovating to be recognised as a market leader in supporting young creatives.
  • Manage and expand Burberry's international Creative Arts Scholarship programme
  • Create a meaningful engagement framework between scholars and our teams, in order to build pathways to future careers.
  • Partner with Burberry Foundation team on optimising and managing the scholarships.


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Previous experience working within creative hiring and early careers
  • Experience in managing projects
  • Knowlde of global fashion schools
  • Able to manage competing demands on time
  • Ability to build rapport and trust
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to interact advise and challenge senior leadership levels
  • Ability to deliver key messages with impact to the relevant stakeholders and team members
  • Ability to think globally and act locally
  • An understanding of how cross functional / commercial business processes impact on the wider business
