About the role

The Sr. Graphic Designer, Loyalty will be an integral member of the Central Marketing team within Gap Inc.'s Loyalty & Payments organization responsible for deliverables to support the Gap Inc. credit card program. The role will require you to design assets for print, email and digital that strongly align with the individual branded system for each of the loyalty/card programs across Athleta, Banana Republic, Gap and Old Navy. The role will work closely with creative teams from each of the brands to ensure a high level of consistency within the branded system.

What you'll do

  • Create designs, including copy, to support loyalty/card programs across Athleta, the Banana Republic, Gap and Old Navy based on marketing briefs, brand strategy, brand aesthetic and graphic guidelines with direction from the Central Marketing Director and/or each brands' creative teams.
  • Drive innovation and customer engagement with creative execution and editorial storytelling across print, email and digital assets.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, strategy, art directors, senior designers, web and print production, and project management in order to meet business goals and ensure alignment with Loyalty initiatives.
  • Present work to the Loyalty team and leadership while remaining open to feedback and multiple rounds of changes.
  • Ensure designs work within the branded Loyalty system across all brands and platforms and then translate them into final production-ready files.
  • Maintain pixel-perfect accuracy and acute attention to detail throughout the creative and production process while maintaining content templates for efficient design production.
  • Manage and prioritize projects appropriately so they deliver on time and with the utmost accuracy.


Who you are

  • BA in Graphic Design or related field with minimum 5-7 years of experience on an in-house creative team preferably in retail or payments, or at a creative agency or design studio.
  • Eye for design and passion for branding and working within design systems with an emphasis on strong layout and typographic skills.
  • Expert ability to implement based on the design concept in order to create multiple assets that maintain branded consistency.
  • A portfolio of work that shows a mastery of color theory, design trends and typographic hierarchy in both digital and print mediums.
  • The ability to effectively manage numerous projects with tight turnarounds, scheduling conflicts, revisions and technical challenges while staying highly organized.
  • A love of working collaboratively and the confidence to work independently with ability to respond effectively and appropriately to creative feedback.
  • Highly proficient on a MacBook using Adobe CC applications especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; AfterEffects skills are a plus.
