JOB PURPOSE
The PMO Manager will be responsible for the health of the IT Product Development and Supply Chain portfolio. The role encompasses the end-to-end lifecycle of all projects and programmes and ensures the highest quality delivery and governance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the individual project and programme health during delivery, adherence to standards, policies, governance, and best practice
- Collaborates with programme managers through the entire project lifecycle, from the inception to transition into service, on gating and governance requirements
- Owns the set up and close-down of projects, time-sheeting, and systems access
- Works with the Portfolio manager to audit programme delivery ensuring the highest standards
- Responsible for the cross-project risk mapping and mitigation action planning
- Inputs into the overall financial portfolio delivery spanning Opex, Capex, Depreciation
- Ensures that lessons learned are documented and shared in a consistent and repeatable manner
- Develops and leads training sessions and activities to ensure that project resources are consistently supported in their roles, and that they have access to the right tools, data, and people
- Onboards new delivery resources into the team and ensuring the process and governance requirements are well understood
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Significant exposure to projects and programmes in complex multi-function, global organisations
- A proven track record of stakeholder management with the ability to influence and hold others to account
- Highly developed communication skillset with the ability to manage conflicting views and opinions
- Experience across multiple project delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile and hybrid)
- Ability to apply both creative and pragmatic thinking to problem solving
- Ability to work autonomously with excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated, driven and proactive; able to acclimate in a very fast-paced environment
- Ability to take a holistic view of the business case, using this to guide programme execution, and understanding of the broader context of decisions
- Experience in the Retail industry, Product Development and Supply chain beneficial
