JOB PURPOSE
As a trusted finance partner, you will use your finance expertise, connecting seamlessly with your Business and Finance colleagues, to provide commercial finance support, influencing decisions or strategy to deliver bottom-line benefits.
This is a crucial and exciting role which will ensure the main cost drivers within Accessories and Shoes Business Units are analysed and aligned to forecast / budget expectations.
The role is primarily responsible for delivering timely, accurate, financial analysis and reconciliations as a basis to drive value from existing cost drivers, change cost behaviour and aid the continual identification of operational cost efficiencies.
You will execute effectively, strong relationships with business partners to ensure active participation in decision making .

You will execute effectively, strong relationships with business partners to ensure active participation in decision making .
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop strong and trusted partnerships with key budget holders within Accessories and Shoes Business Unit teams as well as with BBS teams and Regional Finance with a commercial mind-set, provide analysis, challenge and insight on commercial finance matters and strategies - pro-actively addressing areas that may not have been previously considered
- Provide effective monthly management reports for key budget holders and Finance leadership team
- Review variances and provide analysis when necessary
- Manage and track costs for opex spending. Undertake regular update meetings with key stakeholders to ensure existing costs and new developments are in line with budget
- Review of headcount costs on a monthly basis to ensure they are in line with forecast and the latest updates from HR
- Manage the Budget and Forecast process and ensure the uploads for cost centres as well as report preparation when required
- Undertake Ad Hoc analysis when required on specific activities
- Ensure monthly cost analysis, against forecast and budgets, are provided across the key cost drivers
- Work closely with the BBS Accounting team to ensure month end close is timely and accurate.
- Review and improve processes where needed
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Qualified accountant ACA/CIMA or equivalent
- Strong analytical background, with a good attention to detail.
- Strategic thinking and problem solving.
- Ability to build rapport and trust.
- Ability to interact, advise and challenge stakeholders
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
- Commercial and retail mind-set - ability to interpret business requirements and prioritisation.
- Proven business partnering skills
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders with limited financial background
