What you'll do

  • Responsible for the novelty surface design process (Jacquard, sweaters and seamless) and dye effect wash innovation from concept to completion, while partnering with Surface Director to ensure alignment on priorities and artwork direction.
  • Research and identify emerging fashion, technical, performance, trend and innovation relating to novelty surface and washes.
  • Actively participate in the conceptual development & seasonal direction.
  • Create In Season and Long Lead innovational designs by end use category that support brand's vision and strategy
  • Partner with Product Developers and Vendors throughout the design and development process
  • Build solid cross-functional partnerships with Design, Merchandising, Production, R&D and Vendors.
  • Adhere to calendar deadlines and expectations through each milestone point.
  • Collaborate with Senior Project Manager and Cross Functional partners on an effective workflow to achieve deadlines


Who you are

  • Strong Design and Conceptual skills - ability to Interpret artwork, original drawings, and innovative ideas & translate them into wearable surface novelty and dye effects
  • Excellent sense of melding creative with technical
  • Knowledge of novelty knit construction for performance fabrics a plus
  • Strong Knowledge of wash innovation and process
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, NED Graphics and other knit software programs
  • Positive and passionate with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Desire to work in a collaborative environment and build strong relationships with teammates and cross functional partners.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills which are essential to manage multiple tasks and projects and complete them within deadlines.
  • 5 + years experience
  • College degree preferred but not limited to. Preferable in Textile Design or related Field
