Position Overview
The Assistant Planner on the Commercial Trading team supports the Associate Planner & Planning Manager in all areas of trading & reporting across Ralph Lauren EMEA stores & ecommerce. They execute markdown & balance inventory to drive sales, profit, and productivity. They are responsible for timely reporting & supporting analysis. The Commercial Trading team members work in close partnership with Assortment Planning, Retail / Branch Planning, Inventory & Distribution teams, Buying, Marketing, Retail Operations and other key stakeholders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Responsible for weekly/monthly/seasonal reports
* Owns execution of markdowns in the system, ensuring pricing is done accurately & live on time
* Produces business-wide product reporting & analysis
* Maintains trading calendar to ensure key deadlines are met
* At times, present trade summaries & analysis to cross-functional partners
* Provides actionable inventory guidance to allocation & inventory partners at all stages of product selling (ie from launch to post-markdown)
* Supports Associate Planner & Planning Manager in all aspects of day-to-day
* Supports a one-team environment, taking on projects across the wider Commercial Trading team

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

* Minimum 1-2 years as Assistant Merchandiser or equivalent
* Must be dynamic, resilient, and happy to work in a fast-paced environment
* Self-starter; highly motivated and organised
* Strong analytical skills, proven proficiency in retail math
* Excellent communication skills
* Creative problem-solver and critical thinker
* People-person, able to easily forge relationships with key-stakeholders
