JOB PURPOSE

This position will support all Global Rolling OTB activities within Burberry's central inventory planning organisation. They will embody the Burberry values and contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration.

They will be responsible for:
  • Communicating and ensuring adherence to the commercial principles relating to Global Inventory management, with strong management and assessment of inventory holding by Channel
  • Supporting the Global Rolling Open to Buy and assessing risk in end of season inventory post MD in both Mainline and Outlet
  • Coordinating and ensuring adherence to the Non Destruction Policy of Inventory, and co-ordination and transfer of inventory into third parties for recycling.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for global free stock management, working with regional teams to optimise global inventory and identifying risks
  • Responsible for supporting and co-ordinating global stock rebalances; rebalance template management and publishing overviews to the wider business of stock moves
  • Responsible for consolidation of the Global Rolling OTB by Channel
  • Responsible for preparing insightful analyses on Channel performance relative to plan and identifying risks to inventory targets
  • Responsible for maintaining the Global Delist files which provides an accurate view of product lifecycle for all mainline products and their exit routes
  • Working with product divisions to agree global exit route strategy with the aim to maximize clearing of inventory whilst balancing the need to protect full price sales and brand
  • Alongside Senior Manager, working with group finance to set annual Margin sales target
  • Responsible for preparing insightful analyses on Margin performance relative to target and tracking adherence by product divisions
  • Assessment of Option Plans into OTB, to assess Revenue per Option and productivity of assortments


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Demonstrated experience in a planning or analytical role, preparing commercial analyses, supporting global Open to Buy management
  • Solid communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Experience with SAP would be advantageous
