The Community Manager role will serve as the content creator, amplifier and gatherer of the community that makes the sum of The Mills Fabrica in the UK.

MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES

This includes overseeing all digital marketing strategy and implementation, in particular around two key revenue streams including:

1) Co-working & Lab Memberships, Events: Establish top of funnel marketing to drive new member enquiries for co-working and lab memberships, private events and event related promotions

2) Incubator: Drive startup referrals and enquiries across the company's network, social media, search and external partnerships working closely with our Incubator team

In addition to driving members, subscribers and the startup roadmap, you will also be in charge of growing our overall brand awareness across all digital channels, working closely with the Head of UK, editorial and events/programming leads to achieve our mission.

COMMUNITY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for all programming of activities The Mills Fabrica that enable us to:

  • Position Fabrica as a leading incubator for the circular economy in fashion and food verticals
  • Build a community of key stakeholders (entrepreneurs, researchers, policy makers, leaders, academics, students)
  • Share knowledge and spark measurable collaboration of industries (including pilot tests)
  • Bring clarity and drive our overall mission to transition into a more sustainable future by what our community can see, hear, touch and experience

Key deliverables:

  • Create and oversee roadmap of all touch points clearly laying out the user journeys for each vertical
  • Meaningful touch points include multichannel content and or activities that enable useful dissemination of information, for dialogue and learning whether through events, round tables, showcases, theme driven exhibitions, speaking engagements, community initiatives and other formats, including private events that help drive forward our mission
  • Tech and Food Labs: oversee Lab Assistants and programming for both venues

Adjacent Responsibilities include:

  • Private events: work in tight partnership with sales team to drive the monetisation of available private venues throughout year, in particular supporting with digital presence and top of funnel initiatives
  • Retail Store: work in partnership with Store Manager to organise showcases, pop-ups, exhibitions and other community related activations, in particular liaising with external partners and our startup incubator

Measurable Outputs

  • Responsibilities will be monitored via measurable outputs (non exhaustive) but include overall footfall to Cottam House, online registrations and engagement, return visits, widening the scope of our overall audience and depth of our interactions
  • Revenue may be tied to some areas of the business and thus so will be a shared responsibility for P&L
  • Responsibilities will extend to partnering with other departments to lead activities or experiences for our corporate memberships and other strategic partners
