Manager, Media Relations and Corporate Public Relations - Remote - 11215 Metro Pkwy

This position is responsible for the execution of the ongoing and evolving Public Relations strategy. The position supports corporate and brand initiatives through collaboration with the cross functional teams and external stakeholders.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Plans and executes consumer-driven PR initiatives.
• Maintains an always-on approach to media relations with a focus on driving business and consumer PR stories.
• Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with national, regional and digital media contacts within business, trade and consumer media.
• Crafts pitches and press releases to promote company stories and brand products.
• Collaborates with marketing and creative teams to align goals and ensure smooth and timely implementation of content programs.
• Oversees national charity partnerships for all brands.
• Manages and maintains corporate and brand LinkedIN pages.

• Oversees weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for leadership and brand campaign hindsight.

• Prepares media interviews including development of background materials and talking points.

• Plans and executes media events.
• Manages day-to-day work of PR agency.
• Manages PR sample process and tracking between NSSC and media outlets for press requests, look book shoots and press events.

• Assists with crisis communications as required.
• Educates internal partners and colleagues about PR, new trends and best practices.
• Promotes PR activities internally.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree required, Marketing, PR, Communications or similar field preferred
• 5+ years' experience in Public relations, social media, media, or communications experience
• Strong writing, media relations, verbal communication and time management skills
• Computer proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, Windows XP, and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with digital media (video and photography), as well as social media platforms, programs, techniques, functionality, custom applications and blog platforms
• Excellent organizing and planning skills
• Confidentiality and the ability to manage sensitive information is a priority in this role
• Ability to effectively manage multiple, concordant tasks and projects
• Excellent interpersonal skills
