Human Resources Assistant
HUGO BOSS Fashions, Inc. | New York City | United States | Full-time

Provide administrative and operational support to the Senior Vice President of HR for the Americas and operational support to the Sr. Directors of HR. As a member of the HUGO BOSS Human Resources team, the HR Assistant will also support talent review and acquisition, performance management, organizational capability and design, compensation, employee relations, leadership development and training to deliver easy access, quality service. The role requires one to act with a sense of urgency, be resourceful, and take ownership of the details. Ensure all activities are executed upon with the highest level of care and customer service.

What you can expect:

  • Manage SVP HR's business calendar and schedule appointments
  • Screen incoming calls and correspondence, determine level of priority and respond independently when appropriate
  • Perform various administrative/clerical duties such as updating directories, expense reports, faxing, copying, mail, setting up conference and video calls, proof reading and filing
  • Prepare presentations for Executive
  • Submitting and coding HR invoices for approval and manage Exec Med Program
  • Assist with recruiting and onboarding preparation for all HR hires as needed
  • Administer and keep track of all Paid Time Off and Travel requests of HR team
  • Effectively work with business partners at every level across the organization
  • Compile and interpret data/information from respective business units
  • Arrange detailed travel plans and itineraries, client meetings, organization of team events, catering/ordering lunches
  • Create binders and other files, as requested
  • Maintain confidentiality of all corporate, personnel, legal, and financial matters
  • Create and communicate all organizational change announcements
  • Prepare all HR related documents for HRIS entry (PAFs) and SAP data input
  • Analyze and maintain accurate HRIS reports/system
  • Maintain and update organization charts on a regular basis
  • Process unemployment claims and employment verification letters
  • Create and maintain employee files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
  • Other ad hoc projects/reports


Your profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Psychology
  • 0-1 year of experience in a Human Resources function
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong follow-up skills, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality / discretion in all work place and HR matters.
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees
  • Knowledge of HR employment related laws/practices a plus
  • Ability to learn new technology systems in a short timeframe
  • Highly proficient with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
