Job Details

The Head of Ecommerce role is a critical function between the numerous By Malene Birger functions and sits within the Commercial team, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer. In the role you will be responsible for the day to day management of the Ecommerce team, developing the Ecommerce strategy with the Chief Commercial Officer and executing it with the aim to drive growth and decrease the gap between online and offline retail to ensure a seamless and excellent consumer experience. You will lead our digital business development, recommend global and local trading activity, provide competitor insight and identify and provide input on relevant commercial and technology improvement opportunities to fuel growth.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to,

  • Responsible for the day to day management of the Ecommerce team, inspiring and developing them
  • Monitor sales growth and long term profitability, with a view to improve both
  • Responsible for developing the Ecommerce strategy together with Chief Commercial Officer and executing it
  • Derive data available, analyze and tease out insight and translate into actions
  • Provide insight into the markets we trade in and our competitors. This will include analysis of the proposition of our key competitors, understanding the gaps, insight into price competitiveness etc.
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly reporting across key customer and business metrics
  • Overall responsibility for BMB loyalty program, developing the strategy and initiatives across all channels, online and offline
  • Keep up to date with market trends and innovation in ecommerce, online premium fashion retailing and logistics, evaluating this data to present recommendations and initiatives focusing on customer needs and overall customer experience
  • Manage relationship and communication with 3rd party developers as well as internal tech team
  • Build business cases, priorities Ecommerce roadmap and lead on tech projects from a business perspective
  • Responsible for delivering Ecommerce consumer insights to the wider organization
  • P&L management for E-commerce department

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years Ecommerce & Management experience
  • Pro-active, entrepreneurial and commercial thinker with a strong bias for action
  • You are strategic and translate customer needs and commercial opportunities into a sound commercial plan that yield results short/mid/long-term
  • You think fast, work proactively and always keep on top of things even in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to spot issues, identify gaps and be hands-on in trying to solve them
  • Able to zoom out to see the bigger picture as well as zoom in, detail-oriented and analytical: you must enjoy teasing insight out of spreadsheets, whilst at the same time able to detect patterns and tie them to bigger issues
  • In depth knowledge of digital marketing, overall Ecommerce dynamics and online KPI’s
  • Creative, curious and innovative – presenting new ideas, approaches and insights to technology, product, ways of working, etc.
  • Advanced experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware)
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Skilled user in Microsoft Office
