Job Details

As a Salesforce Administrator on our Technology Acceleration team, you'll be providing expertise in Out of the Box solution design, with a working understanding of the software development lifecycle. You'll be focused on Shopify's Salesforce.com implementation, bug fixes, and maintenance of our sales and marketing solutions.

The ideal candidate is passionate about solving problems, has experience providing operational support to a sales and service organization on the Salesforce platform, experience in working with a dev team on building solutions collaboratively, and knowledge of source control and automated deployment processes

You'll get to do things like:
  • Create and manage
    • Page layouts
    • Permissions and roles
    • Field additions, deletions and maintenance
    • Data maintenance
    • Building flows
    • Troubleshooting bugs
    • Provide end user support
    • Report and dashboard building
  • Help build solution designs for business problems
  • Act in an advisory role on Salesforce to the business
  • Solve problems leveraging out of the box solutions on Salesforce
  • Perform regular health checks for optimization, accuracy, and security
  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders and the development team to support the needs of our internal customers/users


Qualifications

You'll need to have:
  • Completed the SalesforceAdministrator certification along with 2 years of experience in an administrator role.
  • Strong sales & service operational knowledge and problem solving skills
  • Proven success building relationships across all levels
  • A solid base of experience in technology solutions, integrations, Saas, service centre, or sales operations
  • A willingness to learn in a fast paced environment with a can do, hands on attitude to get the job done
  • Proven track record to see problems through to resolution
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity & working in a fast paced environment
  • A willingness to look at a problem from all angles; be curious

It'd be great if you have:
  • Hands on experience working with source control (Github), working in an IDE, and working with a continuous integration process
  • Working knowledge of apex
  • Working knowledge of SOQL

Responsibilities
  • Provide input into designs and develop solutions on the Salesforce.com platform in Apex, to increase productivity and enhance customer experience
  • Identify complex problems in building out the Salesforce platform, and create solutions to resolve them
  • Develop Visualforce Pages and Lightning Web Components
  • Develop integrations with 3rd party applications and other tools
  • Provide day-to-day Salesforce platform support to internal users of the platform
  • Be part of our on-call schedule for Salesforce support (we use PagerDuty)
  • Write technical approach and design documentation to support our business needs
  • Ensure that all necessary changes on the Salesforce platform are documented, reviewed, tested, and approved before being deployed
  • Keep your knowledge current on new Salesforce features and functionality, and integrate this into what you build
