Senior Accountant/Controller

Tanya Taylor is looking for a passionate and driven Accountant to join our growing team.  The Senior Accountant / Controller is responsible for the ownership of all accounting/controllership activities. The Senior Accountant / Controller will be responsible for the integrity and accuracy of accounting records, implementation of general accounting practices – and improvement of such practices.

Responsibilities:

• Month end closing - review and issuance of monthly financial statements and department PL’s to management
• Accounts Payable, including but not limited to, timely processing of invoices, expense reports, recurring payments, and initiation of cash disbursements (ACH, wires & checks)
• Third-party accounts receivable, ensuring proper processing of invoices and payments
• Oversight of inventory control and costing adjustments
• Preparation of month end account reconciliations for review
• Analysis of monthly results compared to budget and prior years
• Assist with ad-hoc assignments and special projects
• Document and maintain daily functional operating procedures
• Recommend process improvements and system integrations that will optimize the function

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 3+ years in accounting/finance
• Fashion/Apparel industry experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have QuickBooks experience
