Position Overview
To help bring the American dream with a European twist to our consumers, the Director of Digital Merchandising and his/her team will ensure that the Ralph Lauren product presentation on the RL European eCommerce sites is consistent with RL Brand, the overall EU and global RLD Merchandise Strategy. This key and strategic role will be instrumental in establishing a unique, seamless customer journey and experience across all the RLE-EU sites, whatever platform the consumer is navigating through and in so doing, will focus on optimizing the Path to Purchase, increasing the Click-through-rate, maximizing Conversion Rates and UPT. Emerging Markets Digital Trading Manager leads the development of the trade plan for the Emerging Markets team whilst supporting the RLE Digital Trading Manager & Director in optimization of the online user experience including navigation, shopping journey, onsite search, SEO, and promotion of the key-value items. . The key interface between Ralph Lauren internal stakeholders, including Digital Buying, Digital Marketing an RLD Business Partner to ensure the brand, product and commerce needs are fulfilled to the best in its class. The successful candidate will be able to utilize analytics to drive performance across all Ralph Lauren websites to enable the business to grow further driving conversion and leverage analysis to help inform the formulation of the trading seasonal plans.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
* Develop overall merchandising execution plan
* Synthesize data from the strategy and analytics team to ensure associates have actionable insights
* Train associates and empower them to train assistants
* Validate and influence seasonal merchandising plans
* Ultimately responsible for gaining plan approval from Trading Director
* Provide consistent and actionable feedback to staff Key Stakeholders

* Program Manager Major Time Allocations
* 40% Cross-functional planning and coordination
* 15% Ad hoc problem solving
* 15% Training and development (primarily teaching)
* 15% Cross-functional relationships: Buying & Marketing
* 10% Strategy planning
* 5% Miscellaneous operations KPIs and Analytics
* Time to market - how long does it take to execute key tasks?
* Quality of work - how much time is spent in remediation?
* Percentage of go-live products on-site - are the products that are complete, online and merchandised?
* Revenue influenced - did you develop an effective plan?

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

* Managerial experience
* Intermediate skills in Excel
* Proficient in Salesforce Business Manager
* Adobe Analytics experience, preferable
* Microstrategy experience, preferable
* Analytical and confident to take action
* Strong understanding of best practices in user experience and drivers of conversion
* Fashion retail experience
* Comprehensive brand and market/competitive knowledge across Europe
* Effective written and oral communications skills, with particular sensitivity to global communication needs
* Thinks creatively
