We are looking for a candidate that is excited about working on graphic artworks for fashion.

The role is to assist the embroidery designer with artwork, working on the computer, creating digital proposals. The candidate will also need to have a strong knowledge of fashion as they will be needed to provide ideas from fashion research for embroidery stories.

Your Mission

    • The role is to assist the embroidery designer with artwork, working on the computer, creating digital proposals. The candidate will also need to have a strong knowledge of fashion as they will be needed to provide ideas from fashion research for embroidery stories.
    • Ability to machine and hand sew/make swatches in studio when needed.
    • An ability to read and understand how garment patterns are put together.
    • A calm manner with the ability to work towards tight deadlines within a high pressure environment.
    • Would like to develop skills to work on silhouette development.
    • Helping and assisting the embroidery designer in any duties that are needed.


Your Talent

    • They will need to be very confident in Adobe suite- mainly Illustrator and Photoshop.
    • The candidate needs to be highly Interested in having a job that utilises their computer skills. The main responsibility of the job is to create digital artworks for embroidery.
    • The computer skills will also be needed for making the placements of embroidery designs onto computerized paper patterns.
    • They need to have a basic knowledge and ability to read and understand how patterns are put together.
    • The candidate will also be needed to work on graphic designs – working on graphics used for embroidery and for merchandise across the collection.
    • Excellent research skills are needed.
    • They will have a good knowledge of fashion with an interesting eye and a good ability to research fashion online.
    • They need to have the ability to understand creative direction and concept and have an acute awareness of luxury fashion
    • Strong drawing skills.
    • Good eye for patterns and design.
    • Able to computerize designs onto the computer.
    • Able to draw graphics on the computer.


Systems and Essentials

    • Highly skilled in Illustrator and Photoshop.
    • We would like to see a portfolio with an obvious design ability in computer skills and an exciting knowledge of fashion with a sympathy towards the aesthetic of the Stella McCartney brand.
