Senior Manager, Global Inventory - Maternity Cover

JOB PURPOSE

This position will be accountable for managing inventory at a global level. They will lead by example, acting as an ambassador for Burberry, fostering a culture of simplification, innovation and collaboration, and driving excellence across the planning organisation.

They will be accountable for:

• Providing Open to Buy (OTB) consolidation and overall Group inventory management
• Accountable for setting Product Margin targets aligned with Finance Group targets
• Ensuring Regional adherence to Inventory Targets.
• Responsible for re-balancing Global Inventory
• Accountable for Delist and Markdown forecasting in line with OTB targets

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define Global OTB parameters alongside VP of Planning and Inventory including Stock Turn and YE Inventory Targets for all Channels
• Assess and challenge Regional OTB submissions ensuring optimal inventory and productivity assumptions
• Propose and agree inventory rebalances with VP and SVP to improve Global sell through across Regions
• Define Global Markdown and Delist guidance together with regulating discounts by product category
• Consolidate and summarise Option Plans from Product Divisions, measuring performance against plan for each Season
• Share Financial Revenue targets with Product Divisions to support Seasonal Collection OTB initial guidance
• Review Regional Seasonal Collection OTB submissions
• Accountable for the Global 4YP Inventory Strategy across the full product life cycle
• Provide FY and Seasonal Intake Margin guidance to Product Divisions based on Group Finance Net Margin expectations to inform Range Plan and Seasonal intake margin targets
• Communicate Global Sales Margin forecasts based on actual and planned Intake Margins to cross-functional partners and SLT by consolidating Regional OTB submissions, and highlighting risks and opportunities
• Responsible for managing Global Safety Stock and Central Inventory Orders in partnership with Product Divisions
