JOB SUMMARY

The Director, Studio Manager will report into the Senior Vice President, Ready to Wear Design (RTW) and will support the design team from a calendar management, communications and resource perspective ensuring the team is aware of key priorities and deliverables. This role will also be involved in monitoring deliverables, identifying efficiencies and communicating accordingly to ensure timely execution. They will work to enhance and streamline processes in support of greater speed and agility; serve as liaison between the design team and cross-functional partners, oversee communications between teams and facilitate meetings as needed. This person will support the design teams to manage deliverables and ensure the team is adequately resourced during peak periods.

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the primary communication link connecting the SVP, Ready to Wear (RTW) Design and the larger team, ensuring everyone is aware of priorities, deadlines, meetings etc.
  • Oversee the calendar in accordance of the parameters of the brand while ensuring the design team needs are met; mitigate any potential risks while being solution oriented.
  • Streamline processes to drive efficiency in support of speed and agility; from initial concept through to pass off.
  • Facilitate and coordinate meetings and communicate decisions accordingly.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and speed/agility.
  • Act as the liaison between Design and cross-functional teams, such as Merchandising, Product Development, Sales, International and other teams as needed.
  • Ensure deliverables meet budget and time commitments; identifying efficiencies without compromising end product.
  • Other duties, as required, in support of in support of overall business initiatives.

EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED
  • 8+ years of Project Management/Operations experience in Fashion/Retail or related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred or equivalent
  • Attention to detail, follow-up and excellent organization
  • Strong computer knowledge including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel and PLM (Centric) systems
  • Ability to work effectively with creative teams
  • Self-motivated and results oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical, dynamic and solutions oriented r who can think outside the box and is solutions oriented
