The Sample Assistant will be responsible for the full life cycle management of Web samples across all categories to primarily support the Digital Studio and Customer Care teams. This will entail receiving, circulating, organizing and disposing samples for each season. They will also partner with cross-functional teams to facilitate sample sharing across both on-site and off-site locations.


  • Receive, unpack, tag and check-in all Web sample for MFO, Mainline and Sport into Tory Track in a timely manner
  • Maintain the organization of all samples, ensuring they are sensibly grouped, accessible and current
  • Partner closely with the Digital Studio and Customer Care teams to pull and return samples for daily sets and the product room, respectively
  • Support general closet users in checking samples in and out successfully - retag samples as necessary
  • Ensure all samples entering and exiting the sample closet are accompanied by accurate tracking records
  • Partner with the Digital Studio to fulfill requests for Web samples required by other business units
  • Provide Tory Track training for new interns, employees and temps at the Jersey City office to ensure proper sample tracking and system integrity
  • Partner with the archive team to secure Web samples that may be required for the corporate archive
  • Oversee the seasonal sample switch, in which past seasons are transferred to the archive, prepared for employee sample sales or destroyed
  • Pull for the Digital Studio Still Life PDP (Product Detail Photos) each season for Mainline, Sport and MFO
  • Partner with the Studio team to pull any samples need for retouching and test shoots
  • Review seasonal samples with merchandising team due to last minute changes and necessary adjustments to production and post production.
  • Partner with the Merchandise Coordinator to monitor inventory delivery to ensure that any late or at-risk samples are ordered from other closets or warehouse proactively.
  • Master existing technologies (Airtable for workflow and Tory Track for sample traffick)
