JOB SUMMARY

In this role, you will have primary responsibility for the full lifecycle management of global IT Infrastructure and cross-functional technology projects and programs, from initiation to deployment, including the management of resources in a highly matrixed environment, in partnership with business and technology stakeholders. This includes team oversight and direct participation in all aspects of the project definition, business analysis, requirements, budget, resource allocation, implementation, organizational readiness and deployment phases, as well as roadmap development. In addition, you will ensure that project participants and management have the necessary information, on a timely basis, to make decisions that contribute to the project's success and ensures high quality delivery. In addition, this role will have responsibility for building process and establishing an effective project governance structure.

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Portfolio/Program Management:
    • Has primary responsibility for maintaining a portfolio of projects and programs in his/her area and is directly accountable for the initiation and execution of projects as well as the prioritization and execution of maintenance items for the portfolio
    • Liaise with Business and IT resources for project intake and manage their tasks and time as it relates to projects/operational tasks
    • Identify Resource constraints; develop resourcing strategies, allocates staff and delegates support as needed
    • Review and report to Leadership Team to develop Roadmap
    • Recommend and implement process and standards based designs, workflow, implementation and documentation for all activities of the infrastructure projects and teams.
    • Manage Project Tracker to provide metrics
    • As needed, hire, train, and supervise staff project managers for ongoing programs and major projects; provide mentoring and development for staff


  • Project Management:
    • Plan, track and manage infrastructure projects, making sure that tasks are completed within the given time frame, identifying risks/issues, driving accountability and communication of status.
    • Ensure that projects are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards
    • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
    • Define project schedules and resource allocation
    • Manage project budget and costs
    • Develop Communication Plan
    • Negotiate agreements with and manage external vendors and consultants as needed
    • Secure resource commitments from managers
    • Review deliverables, obtain appropriate business approvals, and provide final sign-off for milestones
    • Perform requirements gathering and technical analysis as necessary
    • Report to management on a timely basis the project progress and any potential risks, along with alternatives to mitigate the risks

  • Third Party vendor management
  • Develop strong working relationships with key business and IT decision makers throughout the year and is committed to continually improve user satisfaction, project delivery techniques, delivery reliability and stream lining the delivery of projects.
  • Responsible for the coordination of cross-functional groups and team members including Application and Information Systems and Infrastructure teams.


EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Minimum 10 years Project Management experience with large scale, enterprise IT Infrastructure projects required; 15+ years preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years in Infrastructure Management leadership roles
  • Significant experience leading large scale, enterprise wide business improvement and technology projects with successful outcomes, while leading diverse teams. Experience to include Data Center, Cloud, Unified Communications and Collaboration (Contact Center) and End User Computing technology projects
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure technologies across domains to gain credibility and manage multiple work streams and complex projects
  • Significant knowledge of project planning tools with evidence of practical application; experience with Monday.com, Wrike and/or Smartsheet highly desirable
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate the Infrastructure Architecture PMO vision; proven track record of advocating project management discipline
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, strong negotiation and team-building skills with the ability to create consensus around decisions and mitigate conflicts among different teams
  • Proficient with Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban and other Agile project management framework
  • Previous experience working in a technical capacity (Infrastructure Lead, Systems or Network Engineer/Architect) preferred
  • PMP Certification a plus
  • Retail experience highly desired
  • BS degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience
