Summary: The Sr. Director/Director of Media is responsible for developing an integrated media strategy across online and offline paid touch points. The Sr. Director/Director will oversee media planning and execution (buying through agency) for North America and will act in an advisory capacity to our global partners. This role brings our brand to life through media in artful and intelligent ways.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop an annual media strategy and budget based on brand, business and customer goals
- Lead a full funnel media team, owning the digital customer journey across brand and performance media touchpoints
- Drive business growth through mid/lower funnel campaigns across social, search and affiliate channels, ensuring short and long term business goals are met, pivoting and optimizing as needed
- Working closely with brand, creative and production teams, translate seasonal brand concepts into media campaigns and activations which build key equities and brand heat.
- Identify must win and ownable media moments for Kate Spade, opportunities to connect with our core audience, grow share of voice and acquire new customers
- Regularly monitor media and digital trends, ensuring Kate Spade remains on the forefront of innovation. Bring relevant opportunities for first mover advantage to life through thoughtful strategies
- Develop a POV on new & emerging platforms/mediums, creating playbooks for each and a perspective on where to play and how to win.
- Effectively collaborate with buying, planning and commerce teams to ensure media plans are aligned to business goals.
- Negotiate, plan and execute media placements with wholesalers and mall partners
- Create a comprehensive plan for digital assets, ensuring a seamless experience for the customer across her purchase journey. Ensure content is created in alignment with platform best practices
- Establish success metrics, measurement plans and benchmarks for each major campaign. Lead post campaign wrap up inclusive of quantitative analysis, customer insights, findings and recommendations.
Skills and Abilities Required
- Digitally savvy with strong working knowledge of social advertising across brand and performance campaigns on platforms including FB/IG, YouTube, Pinterest and TikTok
- Experience building campaigns for and successfully connecting with audiences on TikTok preferred
- Experience across various media channels including, print, OOH, partnerships and video
- Strong negotiating skills, excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Partnership oriented and familiarity in working in a matrixed organization
An outstanding professional will have...
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 15 years of relevant working experience
- Strong retail business acumen
- Previous media agency experience preferred
