JOB PURPOSE

Our IT Finance team are looking for a Domain Solution Architect. This role will be based out of London or Leeds.

This role combines ownership of E2E Solution Architecture in the Finance Domain along with SAP Finance competency. We are a business with a broad SAP footprint, both on premise and cloud, who partners closely with SAP, as such you will be working on the latest SAP technology and releases, including S/4HANA 2020, Ariba and SAP Business Technology Platform. Our SAP estate integrates with several strategic non-SAP solutions that require end to end resilience and trusted data as standard.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with VP IT Finance and IT Finance Business Relationship senior manager to define IT Finance capability roadmap and portfolio.
  • Manage the SAP Finance function of Burberry globally.
  • Partner closely with Global SAP Solutions Director to ensure alignment with our Enterprise Architecture principles, standards and governance processes.
  • Contribute to and be part of our Architecture Community, becoming accountable for the domain capabilities for both IT and the business helping to meet our strategic goals.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement to build and maintain trusted relationships with key business, IT and 3rd party contacts.
  • Produce or contribute to High Level Designs to realise business and IT requirements, raising and mitigating architectural and / or projects risks that may surface.
  • Ensure that the solution architecture balances functional, service quality and operational management requirements but remains bound by relevant commercial, business function and technical constraints.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and offshore teams to ensure that work undertaken meets requirements and is delivered in a timely manner to quality standards.
  • Work with the Security and Information Risk functions to ensure any solution meet the needs of our security standards and principles.
  • Act as the key point of contact and escalation between business and IT teams.
  • Collaborate with other SAP and IT workstream leads to ensure Finance impacts of wider business change are understood.
  • Pragmatically manage the short/medium term needs of the business to deliver their portfolio of changes balanced with the longer-term IT strategy and direction.


PERSONAL PROFILE

Skills, experience and characteristics:
  • Broad understanding of SAP Finance functionality, integration, and solutions, preferably with hands on S/4, FIORI, and SAP Business Technology Platform experience.
  • Experience of SAP FICO is a must have.
  • Solution Architecture experience delivering both SAP and non-SAP IT Finance solutions and working with architecture governance processes.
  • Experience of working and delivering in a complex and fast-moving environment.
  • Outcome and delivery focused.
  • Excellent consulting, communication and business facing skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
  • Experience managing and lead teams (including offshore teams).
  • Accounting accreditation/experience preferable.
  • Experience working for a Global Fashion/Retail company desirable.
