As the Senior Manager of Content Strategy, you will be responsible for building the content strategy for TRR with the mindset of "consignor and customer first" to deliver the right content at the right time. Your goal will be to drive KPIs and remove friction but also balance brand; ultimately, creating a delightful experience for all our members. You are highly strategic, collaborative, creative and have strong business acumen. You understand how content can achieve measurable business and communication goals. You'll lead the site content building process across teams - brand creative, site merchandising, merchandising, web design and marketing. You will define, manage, and own the site content strategy, and you'll be comfortable to roll up your sleeves to create a best in class online experience. You will be a collaborator, problem solver, idea generator and storyteller with a firm understanding of user experience and search engine optimization (SEO).You will provide weekly content performance reports and facilitate optimization and promotion efforts to improve performance. Clearly communicate what is working and not working to educate cross-functional teams. Implement standards, systems, best practices and templates for content.

  • Define, refine and optimize The RealReal selling, shopping and overall digital experience. Analyze and report out on all content campaigns
  • Plan and execute digital content strategies that will meet and exceed sales and supply goals ensuring the right content is in the right place at the right time for the right segment and establish best practices 
  • Partner with marketing on audiences and traits to build the content needed for personalization across the site - ensuring the journey is consistent in all digital channels
  • Drive the site campaign and content calendar by testing, learning and optimizing at every step
  • Provide regular updates to key stakeholders with content and creative reviews, results and upcoming plans
  • Keep all content and merchandising metrics up to date and work with cross functional partners to ensure relevant content, and assets are delivered
  • Clearly communicate what is working and not working to educate cross-functional teams through weekly reporting of KPIs on all site content

What You Bring To The Role
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus
  • 5-8 years of content marketing experience preferably at an online marketplace or online retailer
  • Experience with leading digital content campaigns
  • Analytical mind - ability to spot patterns and trends in content performance and data
  • Demonstrated success collaborating across departments and mobilizing content contributors and cross-functional teams 
  • Experience with analytics, CMS, and content operations tools such as Google Analytics, Amplitude, Looker and Wrike
  • Superior communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience managing a team
  • Outstanding research and analytical skills
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills including the ability to meet external and internal deadlines is required.
  • Team player able to work effectively and collaboratively across all departments to meet goals and deadlines
  • Work effectively with and present to individuals at all levels
