The Director of Revenue Forecasting will report directly to the SVP of Finance and Strategy and work closely with multiple teams, including Merchandising, Marketing, Inventory Planning, Data, Operations and Accounting. This is a cross-functional role, so this person must enjoy working with other teams. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of financial planning, forecasting and data experience. This person enjoys modeling, forecasting, big data sets, and working with other teams to align on the right solution.

What you'll do day-to-day:
  • Own FIGS' revenue forecast by building a predictive model to forecast revenue at the cohort, customer, product and gender level
  • Partner with Marketing, Merchandising and Ops to understand the FIGS' business model and key drivers, including product launches and marketing campaigns, to facilitate the revenue forecast
  • Update the monthly forecast on a daily basis and communicate key results and variances to management
  • Work closely with Corporate FP&A to bridge between the revenue forecast and recognized revenue to ensure consistency within our consolidated financial models, reporting, and assumptions
  • Develop quarterly revenue guidance for investor communications with input from all key stakeholders
  • Work with the Data team to continue iterating on real-time, data-driven, analytical reporting of FIGS' KPI's
  • Be a cross-functional partner by providing insights and analytical rigor to influence decision making
  • Special projects and adhoc analyses to evaluate opportunities and support actionable business decisions
  • Responsible for training and mentoring the Revenue Forecasting Analyst

What it takes to succeed in this role:
  • Positive attitude, proven work ethic and integrity
  • A strong command of Finance and an analytical mindset; we're numbers people first
  • Someone who can take a task from 0 to 100 without a lot of direction; a self-starter that makes it happen
  • The ability to synthesize large sets of data from multiple, sometimes unrelated, sources
  • An interest in e-commerce business drivers and going beyond the numbers to understand the business
  • Flexibility, an eager team player looking to thrive in a fast-growing environment
  • Ability to communicate in an effective and efficient manner
  • Ability to think creatively to find optimal solutions to complex problems
  • Passion for detail and quality, an ability to identify weaknesses in data and process, and a willingness to drive improvement

Qualifications:
  • BS/MS/PhD in Quantitative or Business field such as Mathematics, Computer Science or Finance
  • 8+ years of experience working at a high growth company within data science / business intelligence / finance focused on revenue forecasting
  • Advanced SQL skills for analysis, standardizing queries, and building data infrastructure involving large-scale datasets
  • Strong experience developing, deploying, and maintaining of enterprise level reports using BI tools or other relevant technologies
  • Experience with large databases such as Snowflake
  • Experience using statistical modelling (e.g. time-series, multiple regression, ARIMA) to solve practical business problems
  • Excel mastery and familiarity with Google Sheets
  • E-commerce, consumer products, or retail experience, a major plus

A little bit about us...

The medical apparel industry is antiquated, highly fragmented and, until FIGS, was driven solely by low-cost providers offering a limited selection of poor quality products sold through third party distributors. FIGS is revolutionizing the medical apparel industry by creating the highest quality medical apparel in the world and by selling directly to medical professionals through our branded ecommerce site.

FIGS' foundation is built on product quality, and we have a relentless focus on three key areas: fabric, fit and function. We developed our proprietary, performance-oriented fabric technology to meet the demands of the medical profession. FIGS' Technical Collection fabric is wrinkle resistant, moisture-wicking, lightweight, breathable and offers four-way stretch. Our designs are tailored, sophisticated and innovative, incorporating features such as yoga waistbands, smart storage (pockets, zippers, hidden pockets) and inspirational sayings inside each garment that appeal to modern healthcare professionals.

By offering a branded and customer-centric online shopping experience, we are changing how medical professionals buy their workwear. Through our website, social media, and participation in medical conferences and events, we have built a strong following within the medical community and a meaningful connection with our customers, which allows us to understand their needs and to ensure that FIGS is continuously improving and innovating.

FIGS' Threads for Threads initiative is central to our mission. FIGS has donated hundreds of thousands of scrubs to healthcare providers in need around the world.
