Purpose:

The Ecommerce Trading Executive role is an integral part of the Ecommerce team. Forward thinking and progressive, they will have accountable ownership for the day to day running and trading of the website to meet planned targets on sales, traffic, AOV and conversion as key metrics.

Responsibilities:

Product and Category Management

  • Preparation of website categories for sale, new season and marketing campaigns.
  • Work with the Ecommerce Content Assistant in preparing and uploading new product’s ensuring accurate features, category, attributes, pricing, HS-codes, photography and meta descriptions.
  • Own the ecommerce product master file and ensure it is updated at all times.
  • Site walk daily to ensure all products are live and correctly merchandised.
  • Work with the Ecommerce Content Assistant to ensure all product information is collated and accuracy of content displayed.
  • Support the Customer Service Representative with customer enquiries (handle returns, store orders, address validation etc.).
  • Ensure all product lines are promptly and efficiently removed in accordance with business merchandising strategies.
  • Perform regular checks to be sure all products are available for purchase, correctly priced and merchandised; follow up any anomalies.
  • Work with the Junior Ecommerce Content Manager to implement visual merchandising strategies as required.
  • Maximise relevancy of website search results and product recommendations.
  • Continually optimise cross sell and upsell strategies for products, categories and collections.

Sales, Conversion and Customer Experience

  • Report and monitor sales, key metrics and product performance for weekly trade meetings
  • Support the Senior Ecommerce Manager with production of ad hoc reports, i.e. availability, sales performance, returns and analysis
  • Maintain the stock levels in line with sales performance, using insights to forecast and flag any additional requirements or issues to the merchandising teams
  • Conduct regular research of online merchandising strategies and techniques used by competitors and other ecommerce stores to suggest site improvements to improve site functionality and conversion rate

CMS Management

  • Accountable for monitoring and controlling product visual merchandising across the websites through use of the CMS tool
  • Responsible for general housekeeping - including updating and amending homepages, banners, shipping options and store finder
  • Have a working understanding of SEO practices, to be able to work with Senior Ecommerce Manager to ensure all relevant owned categories are maximised to best in class digital marketing standards.

Any other tasks as requested.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar Ecommerce merchandising/trading role.
  • Trading mentality with ability to investigate and interpret analysis, implement change at pace.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of Ecommerce business drivers.
  • Proficient in MS Office and strong MS Excel.
  • Pro-active and hands on approach.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Have a visual and aesthetic awareness.
  • A diligent approach to work with good attention to detail.
  • Excellence: High level of finesse and excellence required in delivery of all tasks.
  • Pace: Ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment by being flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to be pro-active, use initiative and work independently or as part of a team.

Skills and Experience Desired:

  • Previous Ecommerce experience raising and management of online product.
  • System: Magento experience preferred
