Sample Cutter

SAMPLE CUTTER - New York based  

Seeking a freelance Sample Cutter who will be based in the Dion Lee studio in Tribeca, New York.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurate and efficient manual hand cutting of patterns in relevant fabric
• Efficient lay of patterns for cutting
• Taking yields and tracking inventory of fabric rolls
• Adjust cutting and marking technique to type of fabric and requirement of garment

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 3 years of experience in cutting
• Ability to read cuttersmust/ cutting instructions provided by pattern makers
• Ability to lift fabric rolls
• Able to understand markers to make sure all pieces are included
• Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work autonomously
