At Rejina Pyo we are looking for a motivated and Ready-to-Wear Design Assistant to join our London team. 

As RTW Design Assistant you will support the Design Team on the design, development and production of RTW collections. In this multifaceted role you will work with the design and production teams to support the product development process from research, sketching and technical drawings through to sampling and final production. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the Design Team on the design and development of seasonal RTW collections
  • Work to the deadlines outlined in the critical path timetable
  • Carry out visual research and design development based on the Creative Director’s creative concept and brief for the season
  • Produce initial sketches or sketch modifications, photoshop mockups and CAD drawings under the direction of the Senior Designer 
  • Produce 3D developments and toiles under the direction of the Senior Designer 
  • Liaise with the production team to research and source fabric, yarn, trimmings and other components 
  • Support the sampling process, liaising with pattern cutters and production team
  • Support fit sessions and ensure the modifications are reflected in the final spec sheets and patterns
  • Develop tech packs ready for sampling, revising and finalising them for production
  • Build strong relationships with internal departments and external partners and suppliers

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A minimum of 2 years in a similar role
  • Ability to contribute creative ideas through sketching and technical drawings 
  • Thorough knowledge of garment construction, fabrications and finishes 
  • Excellent organisational skills 
  • Solution orientated - problem solver, flexible, adaptable and resilient 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • The ability to take initiative and to prioritise work tasks 
  • Excellent communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team
  • Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills
