In order to assure the future uniformity, accuracy, stewardship, semantic consistency and accountability of data assets throughout all business units, Zalando is currently implementing a group-wide master data management (MDM) solution that will provide the capabilities to create, maintain, and manage specific data domains throughout all business units.

This position will be part of the future team at Zalando Technology Foundation that will accompany the implementation and migration, and will drive and manage MDM as a product within Zalando, being responsible for the future roadmap and integration of future data domains.
As a senior technical product manager, you will have the chance to shape the future of data management here at Zalando. You will drive MDM as a product, with the goal to extend reach and acceptance, and possibly initiate the implementation of other data domains into the system.

During and after the implementation of the MDM solution, you will collect user requirements to break them down into functional requirements. You define business rules with stakeholders in all units, with a strong focus on processes, workflows and governance.

Collaborate with other brilliant Product Managers, Data Scientists, Engineers and Analysts across Zalando to create positive customer impact together. Help define our team's objective, and continuously improve the self-organization of the team. Act as a Mentor to the team members and help grow junior and mid-level members of the team.

You are a master in data analysis and modeling.

You have had at least 5 years experience with concepts and methods of data governance, data quality and master data management, and you are passionate about them. It is an easy task for you to gather business requirements and generate use cases by interacting with business.

You gained a technical understanding of MDM and underlying architectures, and you are able to convey MDM concepts to a broad range of stakeholders. You have experience with MDM solutions from vendors such as TIBCO or Informatica.

It is easy for you to grasp the interconnection of software components, and you have a general knowledge of enterprise architecture. You have experience with software design and development processes, as well as agile methodologies. A strong capability to research, self-learn, and develop deep expertise in our Master Data Management platform will help you grow.
