The Junior Sales Account Executive role will be to represent Altuzarra, collections and company, to the domestic or International markets and to a given portfolio of wholesale customers. One of the primary roles will be to increase Altuzarra’s sales turnover by maintaining, managing and building the client base with a view to long-term relationships founded on gold standard client service and mutual trust and loyalty.

RESPONSIBILITY & ACCOUNTABILITY:

INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

  1. Ensure integrity of input in database and update sales information such as sell through reports, ensure that inputs are accurate.
  2. Maintain and communicate with management the weekly sell-through information on clients so that they can take actions,
  3. Develop, maintain, and communicate global knowledge of the luxury marketplace including but not limited to relevant/key stores, ready-to-wear competitors and general industry standards/norms, competition pricing and quality.

CLIENT RELATIONS MANAGEMENT

  1. Establish close and high-communication relationships with existing clients, demonstrating exemplary client service on resolving issues, proactively proposing ideas and providing information.
  2. Produce seasonal sales pack to give to stores (press release, look book, styling suggestions).
  3. Track Altuzarra products on internet sites of our clients to provide feedback to clients, to revise texts or to suggest styling changes, and communicate proposals.
  4. Within the parameters defined by the budget, call on stores and work with sales teams in the stores.

IN-STORE ACTIVITY

  1. Be Altuzarra’s brand ambassador for NY based stores and manage RTW and Handbags businesses.
  2. Provide support to Dept. Stores’ sales associates and personal shoppers: increase selling opportunities, offer help to pull product for appointments, educate staff on upcoming receipts, book private shopping suites, etc.
  3. Run product knowledge seminars with clients, work closely with communications and design teams to have full rundown on technical aspects and inspirations of the collections.
  4. Work closely with store’s visual merchandising teams to maintain standards.

SHOWROOM SALES AND SHOWROOM MANAGEMENT

  1. Collaborate with merchandising/production/management to price the collection in light of budgets, targets, production constraints.  With fellow sales team members, help produce linesheets and price sheets.
  2. Work in updating Joor and NuOrder with new collection information, pricing and pictures.
  3. Coordinate pre-market weeks to make appointments, manage client overlap, showroom staffing, and all document preparation.
  4. Attend all showroom activity for both Paris and New York (2 times per year).
  5. Take ownership of the order inputting and send order confirmations.

POST SHOWROOM CLIENT ACTIVITY, DELIVERIES AND ACCOUNT RECEIVABLE

  1. Work with production teams and management to issue the production order by following up with clients so orders are submitted ASAP post market.
  2. Manage client expectations for deliveries and work with logistics and production teams to ensure timely delivery as required by clients.
  3. Make sure that clients pay on time, chase up late payers, and actively seek solutions satisfactory for the company and amenable to the client for receiving payments.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

The Candidate

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with a luxury designer brand.
  • Highly motivated applicants with solid dept. stores retail sales background will be considered.
  • Understanding of retail math including mark-up, sell-through, OTB and gross margin.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel functions and formulas.
  • Experience using Joor and NuOrder is a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
