We are looking for the next head of stores aka Director of Sales for Soma to support our continued growth

POSITION OBJECTIVE:


This position acts as the Voice of the Customer. The role drives the omni sales strategy and stores execution for an assigned brand. Through insight, feedback and reporting, this position assists in developing innovative omni sales strategies, selling techniques, store communication, leader training, and operational processes.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performance Culture
  • Develops a high-performance culture, motivating teams to meet sales and productivity goals.
  • Trains and develops Field Management team on business acumen and strategy to drive overall performance.
  • Analyzes sales reports and KPIs to determine the needs of the business; sets and executes business and sales strategies throughout the stores fleet.
  • Assists in financial planning, resource allocation and goal setting in alignment with brand expectations.
  • Assist in developing innovative field sales strategies, communication and operational processes.
  • Partners with Chico's FAS leadership, central store operations, and Brand store support teams on projects and pilots.
  • Establishes and communicates clear expectations, holding Regional Management team and themselves accountable for achieving all brand, performance and behavior standards.
  • Identifies and communicates strategic direction designed to create customer satisfaction, maximum efficiencies, workload planning, and drive field operational strategies.
  • Controls expenses and maintains budgets.
  • Ensures visual presentation, organization, and store maintenance execution to standard.
  • Attends NSSC meetings as the driver of Field Leader and Customer Feedback.

Building High Performing Teams
  • Promotes an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem solving.
  • Communicates with and coaches Regionals and acts as liaison to field leadership and cross functional business partnerships to effectively lead positive change.
  • Knows competitor practices and market trends; communicates related opportunities and challenges to SVP.
  • Seeks personal developmental opportunities and solicits feedback to build leadership skills.

Customer Experience
  • Models, teaches and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles and standards, offering a cohesive omni channel experience.
  • With partnership of the Regional Managers, ensures team maintains consistent client communication through utilization of Customer Book, Style Connect, BOPIS and Loyalty programs as well as ensures prompt resolution of customer concerns.

Talent
  • Creates Individual development and succession plans designed to maximize RSM success and build internal talent bench.
  • Supports, implements, and provides follow-up for all training programs, seminars, etc.
  • Assesses and coaches RSMs on performance and provides formal performance evaluations.
  • Resolves all human resources issues in a timely and effective manner, partnering with HR when necessary.
  • Drives team engagement by recognizing and rewarding employees for outstanding performance.
    • Ensures that RSM and DSM teams adheres to all employment practices and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of proven performance driving sales and profitability in a multi-store, regional level role with volume exceeding $100M, preferably in an omnichannel sales environment. Ten+ years of retail management experience required
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with professionalism and confidence to all levels of the organization. External candidates will be required to demonstrate proficiency
  • Outstanding organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines. Demonstrates a high level of administrative competence. Excels in simplifying systems and reducing paperwork.
  • Ability to work weekends when required. Travel required up to 50% of the time
  • Based in Ft Myers, FL, preferred
