SUSTAINABILITY COORDINATOR

We are seeking a highly motivated Sustainability Coordinator to support and drive the development of the Company’s sustainability agenda. Key areas of focus for the Company currently include raw material sourcing and traceability, ethical trade, circular economy, carbon footprint capture and transparency of our supply chain.

Location

Head Office, W1 (Option to work remotely on a regular basis can be discussed at interview)

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the adoption of sustainable fibres and materials in line with Company targets; manage tracking and reporting of sustainable raw fibre uptake, verifying certifications and working alongside suppliers, development co-ordinators and certification bodies
  • Manage external stakeholder relationships and reporting needs as required and in adherence to code initiatives (currently ETI, BCI, Sedex)
  • Collect, process and present supply chain and social compliance data such as audits and supply chain mapping
  • Assist on ethical trade work, human rights due diligence initiatives and policy
  • Work to ensure sustainability is embedded as a core value throughout the Company; providing advice and training where relevant Companywide, and coordinating between departments to ensure follow through of initiatives and best practice
  • Assist on the development of a holistic company-wide carbon footprint strategy; undertaking timely and accurate qualitative and quantitative sustainability data analysis from across the business, to achieve net zero emissions within a set timeframe
  • Support work on all circular economy programmes, capturing relevant data and organising project timelines under the direction of the Head of Development & Design
  • Assist in the creation of guides, tools, and resources internally to support and educate staff, and externally for suppliers throughout the supply chain
  • Provide internal briefings on sustainability data and current activities, communicating updates and policy changes companywide, including assisting with briefs for parent company
  • Maintain up to date knowledge, keeping abreast of industry developments, legislation changes and identifying new risks and opportunities, to assist in adapting and furthering the Company’s sustainability programme
  • Assist on other sustainability initiatives as driven by Company strategy, under direction from the Head of Development & Design

Role Requirements

Essential

  • Held a previous sustainability role, ideally within a fashion brand, sustainability consultancy or NGO
  • Strong numeracy, analytical and research skills, demonstratable understanding of data collection and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and take a logical and measured approach to problem solving and in addressing complex issues

Desirable

  • Experience in sustainable material management, certifications, supply chain engagement and auditing

Hours

Flexible - Up to full time – between 24.5- 35 hours per week to be discussed at interview
