The Head of Designer & Fashion Store Category Marketing drives the overall Marketing strategy to execute Designer, Sports and Streetwear initiatives across our 23 Markets. As we expand further into new Markets you will be focussed on delivering the best and most efficient plans to get Zalando to the position of The Starting Point for Fashion locally and building the Designer, Sports and Streetwear businesses from the ground up. You are doing so in collaborating strongly with our local Market and Category teams, the Designer team, the Sports & Streetwear team and the Global Marketing team amongst others.

You will lead and coordinate driving continuous learning, efficiency and innovation. This role will drive thought leadership on campaign strategies, audience segmentation, data driven plans, and will apply industry-leading thinking to deliver optimal program and business performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with relevant stakeholders and key teams to develop the Annual Designer, Sports and Streetwear Marketing Plan. Partner with Market leads and Regional Marketing in developing key strategic approaches for the business.
  • Oversee the annual brand and marketing plan and bring it to life in coordinating our efforts and investments in large media campaigns, social and digital activations, PR, influencers, onsite content, direct marketing etc.
  • Drive the execution of our Zalando Designer, Sports and Streetwear campaigns and communications with operational excellence and relentless pursuit of performance. Consistently deliver and drive new ideas and initiatives to improve commercial performance.
  • Work collaboratively across functions such as Markets, Analytics, Regional Marketing, Social Media, Marketing & Digital Experience to build strategies to improve the effectiveness of multichannel media programs
  • Enable holistic cross-channel strategies and activation plans of our communications, ensure highest standards are met and that business execution remains best in class.
  • 12+ years of progressive levels of responsibility in marketing management, planning, leadership, brand management. Ideally you have been in a product or brand leadership role for a consumer (digital) brand. Luxury brands experience is required.
  • Business & analytical mind - Proven track record in developing and executing marketing strategies and expertise in reaching and engaging user/audience segments through a targeted strategy. Passionate about analysis, results and efficiency. Experienced in applying latest insights, data-analysis and KPIs to sharpen content and media strategies to drive reach, engagement and conversion.
  • Strong leadership & marketing expertise - You are able and familiar to manage multiple stakeholders effectively (locally and globally). You are a great leader and team player, capable of bringing a larger audience with you on the strategic journey you will create.
  • You are getting things done in a fast-paced ongoingly changing environment. You are a highly reliable business partner, passionate about your work and able to choose the right battles. You embrace and drive change and are always on the hunt for solutions and improvements.
  • Strong communicator - You have excellent English skills, and are able to communicate clearly with various stakeholders, able to bring people with you and to drive alignment.
