Who What Wear is looking to hire an Editor to join its award-winning culture. If you’re an experienced digital editor with a love for all things fashion, we want to hear from you! 

As the Editor, you are a strong digital editor who pushes the Who What Wear brand into new content territory while continuing to look for ways to optimize growth and innovation. The Editor will be well-versed in the fashion space, on top of the latest in the style meets pop culture space, and ready to parlay their insight into top-performing content.

The ideal candidate will have an exceptional body of work demonstrating the ability to package content, a strong sense of urgency with the ability to quickly turn an idea into a final product
, and a collaborative spirit with a positive, can-do attitude.  

This position is based in Los Angeles and reports directly to the Editorial Director.

Our Future of Work: Who What Wear employees are working from home for the remainder of 2021; therefore, all interview and onboarding activities are virtual. Beginning in 2022, we will transition to a hybrid in-person/ remote work environment. Candidates should be open to working remotely with a requirement to work in person from time to time.

 

Key Duties

  • Pitch and write daily content for WhoWhatWear.com, including affiliate-driving shopping stories and fashion news, fulfilling output each week
  • Track analytics on story KPIs to ensure personal PV goals are met and data is used to inform story strategy with an emphasis on affiliate
  • Bring an innovative and creative approach to our traditionally top-performing story categories
  • Work on editorial tent poles and franchises that build on Who What Wear’s brand equity as well as maintain existing franchises
  • Contribute to raising the bar on Who What Wear’s diversity and inclusion
  • Build a roster of experts to add value to stories
  • Keep finger on the pulse of fashion trends, brands, launches, and industry news
  • Maintain and build press relationships

     

Requirements:

  • 4-5+ years of experience writing for a digital publication
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills and strong visual sensibilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the fashion space 
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure, proactively communicate, and meet tight daily deadlines with a strong sense of accountability 
  • Strong knowledge of SEO 
  • General working knowledge of HTML and CMS
