Senior Buyer & Allocation Manager (m/f/d)
HUGO BOSS AG | Metzingen near Stuttgart | Germany | Full-time

We are looking for a Senior Buyer & Allocation Manager (m/f/d) to strengthen our Global Operations Buying & Planning team.

What you can expect:
  • Responsible for optimizing the allocation process within the supply chain, e.g. focus on tactical seasonal planning from the strategic framework (CFW, Product Group Strategy), analyzing procurement costs and savings potentials together with Product Development and managing the annual planning/ vendor style allocation within the respective product group
  • Identification of savings potentials through price & value analyses, improvement of production planning and control of available capacities (off-peak production, etc.) as well as analysis of additional sourcing costs and derivation of measures from this
  • Perform price & value analysis with development
  • Selecting styles to perform product counter development based on current product group needs
  • Performing pricing/countersourcing request for quotation (RFQ) with suppliers and preparing award recommendations and action statements
  • Execution of production relocations
  • Tactical Vendor Meetings to review the performance of the vendor and steer the future collaboration proactively
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional, international and internal projects


Your profile:
  • Min. 7 years of relevant professional experience in a similar position
  • Bachelor or Master's degree or equivalent
  • Good product and very good supply chain knowledge
  • Demonstrated achievement of results, including savings generation, improvements to supplier relationships and improvements in service
  • Embraces fact‐based decision making; naturally seeks to leverage and/or integrate market data, spend analytics and cost modeling
  • Strong project management skills, including stakeholders, timelines and meeting management skills
  • Demonstrated strength in partnering with internal customers; regularly communicates with stakeholders for alignment
  • Possesses strong negotiation skills; experience in global contracting terms, conditions and contracting techniques for managing risk
  • Entrepreneurial spirit preferred; hands-on leadership required
  • Driven and able to balance multiple priorities
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
