As Product Security Team Lead, you will be managing a team of experienced Security consultants who drive proactive security and privacy investments across multiple Zalando business units. You will ensure the delivery of Zalando's most critical and impactful cybersecurity improvements, with a broad impact on our customer, employee, and partner IT security. Product Security oversees a large portfolio of initiatives that contribute to the security and privacy of our 42+ million active customers and drive fundamental changes in the company to enable a secure and compliant execution of our ambitious growth plans.

- Lead a team of experienced security consultants and subject matter experts, who are responsible for supporting Zalando's security and privacy challenges.
- Focus on enabling a healthy, well-performing team of independent and highly motivated individuals, who are enabled to make decisions for the betterment of the company and our customers.
- Ensure capacity of resources and support / guide the management team in the approval and prioritization of new initiatives in alignment with the overarching Product Security strategy.
- Find pragmatic risk-based solutions in collaboration with management stakeholders and ensure the continuous improvement of our security posture while meeting the demands of our customer and our business.
- Experienced leader with know-how to enable, motivate and coach senior experts. You understand the importance of building a healthy and high performing team of diverse individuals. You draw upon your past immersion of working in an agile and iterative environment, focusing on delivering projects effectively with efficient reporting to boost cross-functional teams and projects
- Proven track record working in a complex tech environment as a leader. You speak the language of business as well as engineering and understand the process of moving from the first ideation to eventual go-live and handover
- Highly motivated team player, and an expert in managing conflicts and priorities with both teams and stakeholders. You take responsibility for your tasks, and work in an independent and structured manner
- Innovator by heart and keep fresh by looking for new ways to do things. You are able to put new tools and concepts into practice in a diverse, living and ever-growing organization and regularly reflect on your own work and share feedback in a constructive way
- Ideally experience with cloud-native environments, such as AWS (or similar), Kubernetes orchestration, microservice architecture
