Overview

Reporting to the WW Real Estate & Store Planning Director, the Heath and Safety Manager will be a key support to Stella McCartney LTD, responsible for all Stella McCartney Health and Safety policies, systems and practices, providing full legislative compliance, governance and a consistently safe environment for all employees.

Your Mission:
  • Compliance with Global Health & Safety legislations for all Stella McCartney Office and store locations.
  • Oversee practices to reduce risk and improve the Health & Safety culture of Stella McCartney.
  • Reviewing, developing and communicating all aspects of the company Health & Safety and well-being policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring, evaluating and reviewing existing, new as well as upcoming health and safety legislation to ensure communication in a manner that allows everyone to understand their own responsibilities.
  • Support the process of audits where appropriate and ensure action plans, with clear objectives, are effectively communicated to the relevant people.
  • Identify and provide effective Health & Safety related training in partnership with the Learning & Development team.
  • Review and report upon Health & Safety measures to the 'Director - WW Real Estate & Store Planning'.
  • Partnering with departments to support with Health & Safety measures potentially required for events such as Fashion Show, Campaigns and Photoshoots.
  • Produce reports and identify remedial action, ensuring effective implementation.
  • Review and where necessary complete risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
  • Remain up to date in regard to all COVID-19 legislations and recommendations, to ensure continuous support to employees, working in close partnership with the People & Culture Team.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to the business to ensure a COVID-19 secure environment and keeping abreast of and ensuring appropriate changes to government COVID-19 related restrictions and safety related requirements are implemented.
  • Providing advice and guidance to ensure the safety employees working remotely, overseeing remote working DSE Assessments.
  • Auditing and restocking emergency evacuation items.
  • Managing insurance inspections for any items as requested by the insurance company.


Your Talent:
  • Good understanding of the Retail business structure and H&S requirements.
  • Previous experience of a similar role where they have been required to prioritise and multi-task various and competing demands.
  • A good communicator with the ability to interface regularly with internal and external personnel at all levels.
  • Ability to be discrete, confidential and reliable always.


Systems and Essentials
  • Computer literate, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Lotus Notes would be advantageous but not essential.
