Senior Womenswear Designer (Maternity Cover 10 Months)

Fiorucci Design team is looking for an experienced and dynamic Womenswear Designer to take on the responsibility of the design of the RTW Womenswear collection whilst supporting the entire design process.

Job Requirements:

• Thoroughly research seasonal themes and inspirations, fabric and colour concepts in collaboration with the head of womenswear and the Design team to further develop the key overarching creative direction throughout the season delivering your own original ideas to bring freshness and relevance to the product
• Mood board creation and research of general trends, inspiration as well as details and materials for season direction
• Work closely with the Head Designers
• Work closely along side graphic design 
• Produce and oversea collection plans for each season
• Support Junior designers
• Support Pattern Cutting and Technical manager in pre-show fitting and communication with Technical team
• Participate in fittings and display a high level of confidence and aptitude in developing styles from sketch to production
• Develop a close working relationship with the Product Development team.
• Preparing specs and managing deliveries and deadlines
• Presentation of trends to Design team with first sketches covering various product lines
• Development of prototypes

• Exceptional taste and creativity levels
• Strong managerial skills with proven experience in managing designers.
• Degree level in fashion design
• Ability to adapt to frequent change and competing priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
• High work ethic, integrity, and reliability with a "Hands on" attitude, with great time management skills
• Ability to understand creative direction and concepts
• Commercially minded, quickly responding to business/market needs.
• Organised, efficient and schedule focused

Systems and Essentials

• Experience of CAD software
• Understanding of pattern cutting 
• Must have strong computer skills, including excel and power point
• Proficient in Adobe Suite
