About the role

In this role you will be responsible for providing that results in an engaged workforce and a more productive business. This includes supporting a remote and multi-state team. You will be responsible for supporting people strategies, responding to day-to-day HR activities for the clients, executing talent management efforts and partnering with key Gap Inc. HR solution centers (Talent Management, Employee Relations, Recruiting, Total Rewards, etc.) to deliver results against the people strategies. This role can be remote based out of Columbus, OH.

What you'll do

  • Support the HR team on people and organizational issues: demonstrating resourcefulness to achieve desired outcomes
  • Actively support the HR team to advise leaders in our Contact Center on people and organization decisions and change management efforts
  • Interact daily with management and employees to ensure an open line of communication is maintained to identify and address any Human Resource related issues, needs, and/or concerns as they arise.
  • Enable the organization to proactively fill the talent pipeline including recruitment and interviewing of both non-exempt and exempt employees.
  • Formulate business strategies with respect to maintaining a diverse workforce, low turnover, and respect among all levels within the organization.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of Human Resource related programs and initiatives designed to strengthen performance culture with highly engaged teams.
  • Partner with appropriate leadership team members by providing employee coaching to resolve performance issues.
  • Analyze HR metrics to identify business opportunities working with the HR team to implement solutions
  • Participate in projects and assignments of diverse scope


Who you are


  • Demonstrated experience in a Human Resources Generalist role


  • Possess a sound knowledge of HR practices including benefits, compensation, employment law, employee/labor

    relations, talent management and learning and development


  • Well developed interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to partner and build relationships


  • Good communicator; good listening skills and problem solver


  • Ability to assess situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommendation solutions


  • PC skills; Microsoft Office Suite and/or other software/database skills
