WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • You hold a professional certification in Kanban, Scrum or another recognised Agile approach e.g. Scrum Master certified (CSM, PSM I) and/or experience of working in Agile teams
  • You are aware of numerous techniques for addressing Agile software development methodologies i.e. retrospectives, estimation, burn downs etc., and the ability to apply these techniques appropriately
  • You are familiar with the Agile software development lifecycle and DevOps delivery, including source control management, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery/Deployment and automated testing
  • You have gained experience with Jira or another Agile Requirements Management tool
  • You have a strong willingness to learn with a positive attitude and determination to improve themselves and those around them
  • You describe yourself as a natural leader with potential ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • You are a team-player with the ability to work within collaborative environments to organise and facilitate backlog prioritisation, arrange daily stand-up meetings
  • You describe yourself as well organised, with a logical and methodical approach to planning â€" good time management is essential
  • You have strong decision making and problem-solving skills through collaboration, strong analytical ability, who puts the needs of customers first
  • You are a keen technologist, with a forward-thinking approach to the adoption and application of new technology
  • You have effective communication skills in English and the Ability and eagerness to understand the business context where the team operates and the customer problems being solved


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Understanding the meaning of and being a servant-leader to the team to empower them to be self-managing where possible yet to lead and manage them when needed to drive results
  • Ensure the team lives Agile values and principles and follows the processes and practices that the team have agreed to use
  • Define, track measure and report team performance and efficiency KPIs e.g. velocity, lead time etc, with a view to improving throughput and quality
  • Ensure there's a good relationship between the team and Product Owner as well as others outside the team
  • Establish an environment where the team can be effective, from stationary to appropriate tooling
  • Being a servant-leader to the team; owning and working with stakeholders across the business to clear impediments, as well as escalating where necessary
  • Time and capacity planning - transparency regarding engineering availability/contention
  • Ensure all digital team collaboration tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, etc.) are properly set-up and configured to meet the needs of the team and wider reporting
  • Organise and facilitate team meetings i.e. stand ups, retrospectives, reviews, planning and other meetings as required, ensure they are effective, efficient and outcomes are documented and tasks properly assigned
  • To facilitate or participate in a "Scrum of Scrums" and wider project delivery meetings
  • To take a proactive hands-on role when the team runs into difficulties or detailed analysis in driving continuous improvement of efficiency, output, quality and other areas of work
