This position develops and helps to tell our story to customers and other external audiences. This role supports current and long-term corporate and brand objectives through media relations outreach that generates interest in the company and our brands. These same stories are brought to life through the conception, creation, and management of organic social media content and external Influencer content. The role is part big picture strategy, part tactical brand storyteller, and has a strong understanding of and interest in our customer's mindset, always seeking to meet the customer where she is. The incumbent must be cognizant of the brand goals and strategy, fluent in social media best practices, content creation methods, press engagement and buzz building, and must be highly collaborative, organized and agile.

  • Develops the corporate and brand PR strategies annually in support of business goals and KPIs.
  • Builds media relationships with key publications and outlets to ensure our brands and company are considered for story inclusion when relevant.
  • Creates pitches on key fashion, brand and company stories to elicit coverage.
  • Leads the strategic direction of all organic social initiatives, aligned to our product strategies and demonstrating how social can drive business results with deep understanding of media and platform-specific KPIs.
  • Oversees Social Media content and proactive as well as reactive responses.
  • Develops the appropriate Influencer Strategy for each of our 3 brands, reflecting both our existing customer and our goals for target customer acquisition, driving meaningful revenue streams.
  • Oversees the content and format of our social selling program as another lever to engage the customer in new ways that can further increase engagement and drive sales.
  • Innovates social selling formats that keep the company on the cutting edge of customer engagement techniques.
  • Determines and leads appropriate charitable partnerships that align with our company values and brand objectives.
  • Responsible for external PR agency relationships and keeps cross-functional teams informed.
  • Creates a culture that encourages collaboration and maximizes results.

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Marketing, PR, Communications or similar field
  • 12+ years' experience in public relations, social media, media, or communications
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills
  • Strong verbal communication
  • Curious, digital-first thinker who will drive innovation in this area
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work across all functions/areas of the business
