The Associate Art Director will be responsible for the concept and execution of innovative advertising and direct marketing communications that support the overall business goals at The RealReal. The position will work closely and collaboratively with the marketing, merchandising and brand development teams and will report to the Senior Director of Marketing Creative. The perfect candidate will be confident in their artistic vision, have a strong understanding of integrated marketing campaigns, be flexible and nimble and comfortable presenting their ideas to colleagues and executives. The Associate Art Director will be involved in every aspect of the design process from concept to execution and touch all consumer-facing projects across multiple channels.

What You Get To Do Every Day
  • Lead the concept, collaboration, design and production of all marketing campaigns and assets, including: Email Campaigns, Digital Banners, Display Ads, Social Media Posts, Landing Pages, Multimedia/video, Print, Sales Collateral
  • Daily management of projects and deadlines, continuously surfacing ways to streamline and create efficiencies and automations within the department 
  • Partner with the Senior Creative Director to oversee team's creative work, ensuring that all design output is on-brand and executed at the highest standard possible
  • Collaborate with team members  and cross-functional partners to innovate and drive results across our marketing channels

What You Bring To The Role
  • Minimum 10+ years advertising / marketing design experience, in-house or agency side
  • Understands the values and principles of design executions for omnichannel campaigns
  • Exceptional proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Superior skills in ad layout, typography and photography
  • Constantly innovates and develops  new ideas to test and learn across channels
  • Organized and focused approach to executing design concepts
  • Strong understanding of design best practices within the digital marketing space
  • Strong communication skills; collaborative
  • Solid multi-tasker; deadline-oriented; organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects
  • E-commerce, retail, beauty and/or fashion experience a plus
