The Commercial Planning and Strategy Team is part of the Markets Department, a cross-functional unit that connects all relevant teams to translate the global Lounge strategy into individual local market strategies and subsequently execute them. In addition to driving the local market strategies, the team plans and monitors the market-specific sales of the Lounge. The team analyzes the impact of commercial levers on business performance and also assess Lounge's positioning and effectiveness vs. competition. Lastly, the team aims to provide the organization with clear insights and recommendations for optimal commercial steering and identify growth levers to sustain both long-term growth and our local strategy.WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • You will work very closely with the Commercial Planning Lead for DACH and the Head of Markets Planning and Analytics in supporting them with your analytical skills and business knowledge on strategic topics, as the local commercial expert for your markets.
  • You will be responsible for defining your market financial targets in alignment with Finance to meet Lounge global growth and profit objectives. You will execute cross-functional analyses to support trade-off decisions and projects on overarching topics with a direct impact on several parts of the local P&L.
  • You will closely monitor the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly business performance in the market, identify and explain deviations to target and present recommendations to close potential performance gaps, in the Commercial steering round. You will also contribute to the weekly operational capacity planning and steering, working very closely with the Retail, Commercial campaign, Pricing and Marketing teams in particular.
  • You will support the Commercial Planning Lead for DACH in defining and executing strong local market strategies that translate the global Lounge strategy into local plans for action in alignment with the respective counterparts in the organization, including (not limited to): Finance, Demand, Retail, Logistics etc. By leveraging your analytical skill-set and knowledge of our local customers, their buying behaviors and the competitive landscape, you will help define our long-term strategies per market.
  • You will lead cross-functional projects with commercial relevance in your market and interact with Retail, Brand Marketing, Demand, Operations, Onsite Management and other functions on a daily level.
  • Strong academic track record: MBA or Master's in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Management or comparable academic qualification
  • Minimum 3+ years of work experience in consumer-oriented commercial, financial or business development role with a solid track record
  • Strong understanding of the online fashion landscape in the region, including buying behaviors, the competitive landscape and opportunities to grow the business
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills: proven experience in good collaboration and driving projects with different teams across the organization, showing a strong ability to align sometimes opposing views and find a common ground
  • Excellent strategic commercial thinking and deep analytical skills
  • Fluency in Excel-like tools, and knowledge of BI software such as Tableau. Proficiency in SQL is a plus.
  • Strong sense of responsibility: ability to work in a self-driven, results-oriented and independent manner, taking initiative to improve decision making and drive the business
  • You are business-fluent in written and spoken English. German is a plus.
