What you'll do

  • Model and promote organizational values and behaviors
  • Guide, train and direct business partners on the execution of HR policies and processes to ensure appropriate legal and corporate compliance
  • Provide direct coaching and consultation to HOS population to build and develop greater organizational capability
  • Partner and advise on people initiatives in support of the talent pipeline, including attraction, development and engagement
  • Manage the recruitment, hiring and on-boarding process for all staff within Flagship location
  • Investigates high-risk employee concerns and take action consistent with company policies.
  • Guide effective succession and retention planning efforts.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for initiatives and programs aimed at enhanced employee communication, morale and job satisfaction.
  • Oversee/conduct Company training programs for managers.
  • Create and implement training programs aimed at enhancing general management skills.
  • Supervise Employment/Training Manager to ensure all objectives are being met.
  • Provides developmental opportunities for Employment/Training Manager.
  • Coordinate the focal review process for management and non-exempt associates to ensure a consistent administration of performance evaluation, compensation recommendations, system data entry and written performance reviews.
  • Responsible for communication of all HR policies, procedures and initiatives to Management team and staff.
  • Initiate communication with HR peer group in other stores to share best practices, discuss concerns/solutions, and partner on issues involving consistency in the implementation of HR policies and practices.
  • Analyze, benchmark and react to financial, operational and HR metrics to drive results
  • Support the effective on-boarding of new leaders to the organization


Who you are

  • Effective at building relationships with business partners
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and coach others
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data
  • Ability to independently solve problems and make decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and articulate necessary strategic objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels in the organization
  • College degree required, with an emphasis in Human Resources or Industrial Relations preferred
  • 3 or more years experience in Human Resources, preferably in a large, matrix organization, includes, but not limited to, exposure to recruitment, training, employee relations, performance management and organizational development.
  • Possess a solid foundation in critical HR discipline expertise (e.g. org design, ER, training)
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local labor regulations
  • Open availability and flexibility to work according to the needs of the business
  • Prior experience leading a team, project or managing others
