The RealReal is seeking a business-minded, highly analytical Merchandise Manager to support the Senior Merchandise Manager in the execution of strategies to drive omni-channel category performance.  The ideal candidate is passionate about our core values of sustainability, authenticity and luxury and can thrive in an autonomous, fast-paced environment.  We’re looking for a self-starter who will take an entrepreneurial approach to category management, brainstorming new and creative ways to drive category KPIs across both supply & demand.

What You Get To Do Every Day
  • Business Analysis: weekly,  monthly and ad-hoc reporting of omni channel metrics; develop recommendations and execute to deliver on financial plans
  • Retail:  Oversee retail assortment & allocation; coordination with retail teams on trainings & visual merchandising
  • Supply:  Drive supply through Buy-Up-Front strategies & analysis
  • Strategy:  Lead execution of key category growth initiatives, including the creation of SOPs as needed
  • Competitive Analysis:  Quarterly comp shopping to gauge our performance within the marketplace
  • Trainings:  Leads cross functional trainings with the sales org to drive supply initiatives
  • Online Storytelling: Support curation of category online shops & Editors' Picks
  • Team:  Foster strong cross functional partnerships with Merch Ops, Planning, Pricing, and Site teams

What You Bring To The Role
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3-4+ years of proven success in merchandise planning, financial planning, strategy, or business analytics
  • Proficiency with Excel & Google Suite required, familiarity with SQL & Looker a plus
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling & problem solving skills. Experience with Open-to-Buy, traditional retail metrics, and inventory management frameworks are crucial to success
  • Ability to handle multiple work streams with proven success in analyzing large data sets related to a wide variety of business problems 
  • Team player able to work effectively and collaboratively across all departments to meet goals
