Job Details
Totême is looking for a Sustainability Specialist (Maternity Leave Cover) to join the team in Stockholm. As Sustainability Specialist you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the sustainability strategy, focusing on Totême’s products, suppliers, operations and social engagement. You will ensure Totême is complying with industry standards and customer expectations and help positioning the brand as a strong player within sustainability.
The role
- Implement, maintain, advise and take action on the existing sustainability strategy
- Be responsible for all processes relating to sustainability, quality assurance and chemicals
- Incorporate the use of sustainable fibers into the sustainability framework
- Research and review regulatory, technical and market issues related to sustainability
- Mange the sustainability supplier scorecards, define actions together with the suppliers and follow-up on the progress
- Make risk assessments and work with due diligence on human rights and the sourcing footprint
- Keep up to date with trends and new developments within sustainability
- Update, educate and inspire suppliers and agents’ suppliers about the sustainability work at Totême
- Liaise with STICA and conduct the annual reporting on energy use, natural resources usage, waste generation and recycling
- Advice on Totême’s quality standards and quality control set-ups to suppliers and agents involved in the production and be their contact person for quality standard-related questions
- Be responsible for the claims process and lead this conversation with internal and external stakeholders
Your profile
- Academic degree, preferably within textile engineering or textile management
- Previous experience working with sustainability within a textile company
- Experience from working in a fast-paced fashion environment
- Experience from project management and planning is a plus

- Service-minded with a strong commercial drive
- Interest in and understanding of the fashion industry
- Skilled user of Excel
- Fluent in English
This is a temporary 1 year position based at Totême’s Stockholm office with an immediate start.
