JOB PURPOSE
Working as part of a dedicated team you will assist in the production of the Burberry iconic fabric. You will work to the highest quality whilst achieving daily targets and ensuring continuous production this includes providing technical solutions to weaving problems and machinery.

JOB PURPOSE
Working as part of a dedicated team you will assist in the production of the Burberry iconic fabric. You will work to the highest quality whilst achieving daily targets and ensuring continuous production this includes providing technical solutions to weaving problems and machinery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining all safety aspects of the loom i.e. All Control Buttons - Safety Guards
- General maintenance of the looms and batchers - in response to breakdowns and in line with the preventative maintenance programme
- Support the Knotter and Change Hand with the gaiting of warps
- Ensure looms are weaving fabric to company quality standards
- Ensure looms are running to optimum efficiency for fabric style being woven
- Ensure relevant documentation for warp identification, samples & pieces.
- Be aware of spare part stock levels and follow procedure of booking spare parts out when spares are required
- To follow company procedure on the documentation of logging fault repairs at the loom and passing to shift Supervisor
- Demonstrate a good understanding of different methods of production operations including loom digital technology
- Attend appropriate training sessions to improve knowledge and development
- Use lean tools to problem solve and find root causes
- Implement corrective and preventative actions to eliminate defects in fabric
- Develop and improve your ways of working to increase efficiency within your work area
- Seek out opportunities and provide feedback to your Shift Supervisor on areas for improvement
- Have the ability to follow instructions and Standard Operating Procedures/ support creation of SOPs when required
- Demonstrate flexible approach to meet production demands
- Be responsible of Health & Safety of yourself and your co-workers
- Escalate operational issues to your shift Supervisor and work to resolve them by identifying the root cause
- Adhere to H&S policy and procedures, take appropriate action to escalate when required and work in collaboration with your team members and shift Supervisors.
- Liaise with other departments as and when required

- Textile background
- Previous manufacturing environment with high quality standards
- Ability to follow instructions
- Precision and accuracy
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving using Lean tools and techniques
- GSCE Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
