Overview
The PR Coordinator is responsible for working alongside the Senior Communications Manager and global communications team to develop and execute an impactful and creative PR strategy across categories and media types for the Americas. This role will promote the Stella McCartney brand image and specific products to ensure elevated editorial coverage while also working cross functionally on events and with VIP and influencers.
Your Mission
Samples
- Oversee daily sample activity for the Americas and maintain NYC showroom inventory across all categories (mainly ready to wear and accessories, lingerie, swimwear, eyewear, kids) including support for international sample activity when necessary
- Facilitate sample movement using Fashion GPS with the support of Showroom Assistant
- Support Head of Global VIP's and Influencers in celebrity outreach, dressing (including fittings) and distribution of celebrity images
- Daily communication to maintain strong editorial relationships with national and regional press across print and digital media to ensure quality and quantity coverage on the brand
- Support US wholesale team's sample activities
- Partnering with global PR offices to ensure seasonal sample flow
- Maintain daily sample trafficking on Fashion GPS and check on usage from all global offices
Additional editorial support
- Assist Senior Communications Manager to generate and execute press strategies and pitching in support of the collections, store openings, product launches, and brand news and initiatives
- Developing key messages for the local market to enhance brand awareness
- Regular communication and planning cross functionally with regional retail and buying team to ensure press coverage is timed with store inventory and key launches
- Analyze missed opportunities and strategize on how to course correct
- Distribution of press materials including collection images and look-books
- Maintaining up to date contact database and distribution lists
- Assist with event logistics for press related events including press days
- Ensure Stella McCartney is held to the highest standards and brand positioning across all PR activities
Reporting
- Oversee daily, weekly, monthly sample send out report and upcoming credit chart
- Managing of press clippings done by Showroom Assistant, ensuring all expected credits are clipped and included in daily press coverage, monthly clipping reports, and ad hoc project based recaps

Your Talent
- 3-4 years of experience in public relations, preferably in luxury fashion
- Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Creative outlook and ability to identify opportunities for the brand
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to multitask
- Adapts quickly to change
- Capacity to engage and communicate effectively at all levels
