The Director, Digital & eCommerce is a critical, innovative, and strategic role for the growing COSTA BRAZIL business. The leader is expected to deliver business results by managing highly efficient sales channels and optimizing a best-in-class digital experience.

You will be responsible for the vision, strategy, execution and performance of the ecommerce business for COSTA BRAZIL and all retailer web sites where the brand's products are sold. This candidate must have a proven track record in running a successful ecommerce business that maintained significant year-over-year growth whereby increasing key indicators. In this role, the person will work closely with marketing and creative teams to create a branded online experience that is not only representative of the customer's offline experience, but takes that engagement to the next level by understanding the needs and expectation of the online, multi-channel and offline consumer.

They will also work with the product-related teams to understand upcoming product innovations and services so that they may be thoughtfully integrated into the online launch process as they are unveiled into the marketplace. The Director is also responsible for working with the brand's Retail team for an aligned brand expression across all channels. The Director will manage and vet activity presented by digital marketing agencies, and fast-track the use of data to unlock opportunities, insights and innovations across the globe for product, consumers and channel. Responsible for leveraging data to concept key strategies, marketing activities and communication. This position will help transform the brand in order to accelerate online driving sales, conversion, and loyalty. The person must understand brand equity management while also being able to leverage data to elaborate a clear 3-year strategy while maximizing short term business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

    • Partner with VP, Global Marketing & Content on developing overall eCommerce strategy and roadmap.
    • Develop and execute a 3-year business strategy that optimizes traffic, conversion and AOS.
    • Continuously enhance functionality across website.
    • Partner with Digital teams to manage digital vendor relationships and projects for mutual success, including project launch and ongoing enhancements.
    • Ensure the day-to-day effectiveness of content display merchandising, navigation, search functionality and product presentation to optimize our customer experience.
    • Partner with Digital Product teams on site and digital development phases from concept to launch, including business requirements, user flows/wire frames, functional requirements, QA/testing, and post-launch monitoring and optimization to ensure efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of all web content publishing.
    • Maintain updates and resolve issues regarding site experience improvements.
    • Manage all aspects of web analytics as related to eCommerce and communicate relevant information to team members, executive leadership and cross-functional partners.
    • Implement personalized experiences and campaigns as well as drive personalization.
    • Manage day-to-day digital media across channels via a partner digital agency: SEM, Display and Paid Social.
    • Advise on key changes and strategic direction in the eCommerce and ensure eCommerce principles are incorporated in all cross-functional projects.
    • Develop and enhance customer segmentation and cluster group analysis and their use in driving business performance.
    • Guide and provide ongoing feedback to the Marketing Manager in optimizing email flows.
    • Manage the P&L for Costa Brazil's e-commerce channel, as well as monthly forecasting and budgets.
    • Collaborate with inventory team to develop a sales & inventory plan that optimizes channel growth and profitability.
    • Provide on-going tracking and analysis of customer on-site behavior through market and competitive analysis and review and measurement of site analytics.
    • Integrate feedback from Customer Service and customer research into site functionality and product presentation requirements.
    • Defines, aligns, and manages online product content including product descriptions, pictures, product metadata, categorization, and pricing.
    • Collaborate with merchandising and inventory to develop and execute the brand promotional strategy.
    • Coach team members to success and holds individuals accountable for achieving results.
    • Reinforce a culture of test and learn; advise or identify new test ideas with the goal of driving increased revenue per visit and an improved customer experience across all device types.
    • Contribute to long-term strategic planning with regard to marketing & creative roadmap development.




Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree; 6-8+ years of related business experience.
    • Passion for skincare / wellness beauty industry.
    • Ability to identify the big ideas from the small ones and drive for results on the big ideas.
    • Must demonstrate strong strategic, creative, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Thrive in an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented.
    • Able to handle multiple priorities while meeting objectives.
    • Team player who builds strong, effective partnerships.
    • Team builder who develops and coaches team members to reach their own professional goals.
    • Excellent written and verbal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • 6-8+ years of related business experience, Beauty or Retail industry preferred
